Sidney Composts!
Sidney Central School District is initiating a composting program to utilize food waste from the cafeterias. Food waste is collected in each of the cafeterias and composted in classroom worm-composters as a component of science education, as well as in outdoor bins. Finished compost will be used to grow vegetables in the school gardens.
