Two teams from the Sidney Central School District recently took part in a Jr. Iron Chef competition at SUNY Cobleskill. 

 

One team took part in the middle school event, and a second team in the high school event. 

 

The competition is for teams who develop recipes using a combination of USDA and local ingredients to prepare a dish that could be served in a school cafeteria. 

 

The middle school team, represented by sixth graders Olivia Gavin, Dominik Karwowski Megan Lewis, and Anthony Spinu prepared a stuffed pepper recipe. 

 

The high school team, represented by sophomore Hongxuan Jin, and freshmen Zhiyan Jin and Tiana Savino, cooked a sweet and spicy fried rice recipe.
