New school district voting requirements

As you may or may not know, New York State passed a law that states school districts can no longer use lever machines for voting purposes. Sidney CSD actually transitioned from the voting machines several years ago to a paper scanned ballot.

Effective with this May’s election, the district will be partnering with Delaware County to use the same system that they use for all elections. Many of you are familiar with the machines at area primary/presidential elections and other countywide elections. Sidney CSD will be using Delaware County’s certified election inspectors, as well as some of our familiar faces from years past to assist with the vote.
