Talent shows held at SES

The Sidney Elementary School held its inaugural talent shows recently. The show was created as a way to showcase the many talents students at the school have.

The show also provided an opportunity for students to dance, sing, act, do gymnastics, put on skits, perform magic, and engage in a variety of other unique talents. The show was intended to be a fun and exciting event for both participants and the audience.

There were about 20 performances for the PreK-grade 3 show, and about 30 performances for the grades 4-6 show. The school is hoping to make this an annual event and anticipates the number of performances to increase each year.

For many students, it was the first time they performed in front of a live audience, and though there was some stage fright, the students performed extremely well. Many students spent weeks practicing and creating routines and skits for the shows.

Students have already been encouraged to start thinking about what they want to do for next year.
