The Sidney high school concert band recently performed at the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) major organization festival.
NYSSMA is set up on a six-level rating system, with the most demanding music literature listed as a six. Sidney performed as a level-four ensemble.
For performing at a high degree of proficiency, with minimal lapses in musicality, Sidney earned an overall rating of silver.
If you are interested in upcoming events, the Sidney marching band will perform on Memorial Day, and the school will also participate in the Sherburne Pageant of Bands on June 1-2.
