The Sidney Central School District competed in four categories at the 69th annual Sherburne Pageant of Bands this past weekend, finishing in the top three in three of the categories.
On the first night, the small ensemble and jazz competitions were held. Sidney earned second-place finishes in each group.
On the second morning, Sidney was the first competitor in the concert band, taking home a third-place finish against bands two- and three-times bigger.
During the parade portion of the event, Sidney placed sixth in the Class “A” competition. The color guard competed in a separate, but related, category in parade, finishing fifth.
Sidney is the sixth-longer participant competing at the pageant.
