Sidney CSD has new secure vestibules for visitors of district
The Sidney Central School District is pleased to announce the completion of the New York State funded Smart Schools capital project.

As a result of this project, the district has new secure vestibules for the elementary and high school buildings. The vestibules meet state and federal safety standards. These secure vestibules will provide one point of entry into both buildings during the school day.

We are requiring all parents, guardians, and community members to utilize only these entries. No other doors in the buildings will be opened. This will greatly improve student and staff safety.

All persons accessing the building will be required to enter into the secure vestibule. Most reasons for visiting the school we be handled in the vestibule. If you are requesting access to the schools, you will be required to provide identification, such as a driver’s license, to generate a badge indicating your destination within the school building.

Your identification will be held in the secure vestibule until completion of your appointment, and you will be required to leave through the secure vestibule to retrieve your identification and sign out.

We thank you for your understanding and support with our requests to improve building security, and utilizing a single point of entry at Sidney Central School District.
Please see the video below about the new vestibules.
