In December, students in Suzanne Leslie’s seventh and eighth grade physical education classes participated in a dance unit.
This new unit challenged students to dance to a variety of songs. Some of the songs and dances were familiar, while others were not and challenged the students to learn as the beat went on.
Overall, students learned a new activity that dealt with different rhythms and patterns. At the end of the unit, everybody chose a song to which they had to create their own dance and then perform in front of the class.
Ms. Leslie said she was impressed with everybody’s effort and she was pleased all students did a terrific job.
