Sidney Dollars for Scholars to run mail-a-thon
The Sidney Dollars for Scholars will once again reach out to the community for its annual fundraiser.
Because of busy lifestyles and increase in cell phone usage, the number of people our students can reach during the annual phone-a-thon has dwindled.
Therefore, to adapt to these changes, the 31st annual fundraising event will switch to a mail-a-thon. These donations allow the program to continue.
This will be the sole fundraising event for Sidney’s Dollars for Scholars program. The goal is $10,000. Donations are tax deductible.
This program and the generous donations of the community allow Sidney students to have scholarship opportunities.
Sidney Dollars for Scholars was established in 1984, and is a community-based non-profit group of volunteers who work to provide schoarships for post-secondary education. Being nationally affiliated also allows awards through this program to be eligible for matching funds from participating colleges.
