Three Sidney Central School students have been selected to show their work at the 10th annual Student Art Showcase in March.

Senior Taylor Bock, junior Amanda Rivers, and sophomore Victoria Prouty will display their work from March 19-24 at the theater in the Bainbridge town hall.

The opening reception is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 20. The gallery is open from 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Bock is one of the top artists at Sidney, according to teacher Chris Lissandrello, and will have big-time acrylics to show, as well as life-like charcoal and pastel still-life drawings. Rivers has a rough, yet fluid, textural style with exuberant color, Lissandrello said. Prouty is a promising talent who will showcase three observational drawings, rich in range and chiaroscuro.

To get to the gallery, enter the Bainbridge town hall, which is located across from the old Jericho Inn Restaurant, and go up the stairs. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

The exhibition will feature art from select students from Sidney, Afton, Bainbridge-Guilford, Hancock, and Unadilla Valley.
