Two Sidney baseball players earn All-State honors
Two Sidney Central School baseball players were named to the New York State Sportswriters Association All-State teams.

Zak Green earned second-team honors and Alex Hoskins was named to the fourth team.

Green, who will be a senior this year at Sidney, had a 1.655 ERA over 55 innings for the Warriors this past season. He struck out 81 and walked 12. He allowed 37 hits. In nine starts, he went 6-3. Over the course of the season, he threw 794 pitches, 553 which went for strikes.

Green also hit .420 in 23 games.

Hoskins, who will be a junior this year, hit .493 over 23 games. He also had a .563 on-base percentage. Hoskins had 30 RBIs, 24 runs scored and hit four triples and three doubles.
