Sidney senior, principal receive Scholar Recognition honor

Sidney Central School senior Anna Egli and high school principal Eben Bullock were recently honored at the Scholar Recognition program, which was held at SUNY Oneonta.

The program annually honors students and teachers from schools in the DCMO BOCES and ONC BOCES districts.

One student from each school is recognized for outstanding scholastic achievement. That student nominates a teacher who has had a significant and beneficial influence on his or her education.
Below are the profiles included in the program.

Eben Bullock

One beautiful aspect of human life is that not only do we meet people who leave footprints on our hearts, but we also have the power to impact the lives of others, and to leave footprints on theirs. One person who has impacted my life and the lives of those around me, is my high school principal, Mr. Bullock. Mr. Bullock has taught me so much about life and about believing in myself. He has shown me that even when I fall down, it is possible to stand back up, stronger than ever before. Mr. Bullock always reminds students, myself included, that we are never alone and that we are all capable of greatness. Thanks to his continued support, I have found a new, confident side of myself. He has encouraged me to keep leaving footprints on the lives of others, in my school and in my community, and with his encouragement, I have worked diligently to do that. Mr. Bullock is more than just a great principal, he is also a great mentor and a great friend. I am blessed to have him in my life.
