Tom Cartossa and Tom Frederick received bronze medals.
The Sidney High School Science Olympiad team competed at the regional finals in February at SUNY Broome Community College.
A total of 15 schools competed at the event.
This year’s team included Ashlyn Derrick, Jacob Williams, Collin Searles, Riley MacPherson, Molly Youngs, Rachel Zoon, Tom Cartossa, and Tom Frederick. Several students placed in the top 10 of their respective events.
Tom Cartossa and Tom Frederick received bronze medals for placing third in the “Dynamic Planet” event. Molly Youngs and Rachel Zoon performed well in the “Write It/Do It” event, finishing sixth.
