Sidney teams place at Broome Robotics Competition
The Sidney Central School District recently had three teams place at the 8th annual SUNY Broome Robotics Competition.

Sidney had one championship team as the group of Collin Searles, Dylan Becker, and Cain Rodriguez (Franklin STEM Academy student) won first place in autonomous line follow.

The team of Alex Smith, Thomas Frederick, Jakob Knapp, and Nate Farrell placed in two events – third place in autonomous task, and fourth in fork life, remote challenge.

More than a dozen teams competed at the event, which included more than 160 students. Sidney sent teams from the high school and elementary school.

The grand champion of the event was Chenango Forks. Sidney won the championship last year.
