Sidney junior class raises money for ACS

Throughout the year, the Sidney Central School Class of 2017 has raised money for the American Cancer Society by selling ribbons.

The ribbons differed each month to represent a different form of cancer for which to raise awareness.
The juniors then challenged the staff at Sidney to try and match the amount. Throughout the year, the students raised $505 and during the May challenge, the staff donated an additional $320.

On Tuesday, June 7, the junior class officers presented Helen Gregory, of the American Cancer Society, a check for $825.

Pictured presenting the check, from left, are: Taylor Barnes (vice president), Kyle Smith (treasurer), Helen Gregory, Ariyahna Bernard (secretary), and Anna Egli (president).
