Sidney Students Against Destructive Decisions (SSADD) held its inaugural holiday event on December 10 at the elementary school.
About 200 people were in attendance at the holiday celebration, which included games, activities, Santa, and a clothing giveaway. Refreshments were also available without charge.
Adviser Jon Yurka said hundreds of articles of clothing and toys were given away during the day. He said it was a very successful first community event for the club.
The event was open to all members of the community.
“SSADD members felt very thankful for the opportunity to help those in need this season,” Yurka said. “A special thanks goes to all staff members who made this event, along with the continual support of Sidney Central School.”
