The aquaponics plants at Sidney Elementary were harvested for the first time this fall by students in the basic agriculture class on Wednesday morning.
The plants were carefully pulled and taken to the elementary cafeteria from the lunch room, where the plants grow.
The class was going to plant for the second crops later in the week.
