Sidney Central School District has an opening for the District Secretary/Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools. This position requires:
  • a thorough knowledge of office management practices
  • knowledge of procedures and equipment
  • understanding of business math
  • familiarity with the district functions
  • knowledge of education, employment and Civil Service laws; 
  • knowledge of NYS certifications for instructional staff
  • capacity to handle administrative details independently, including composition of documents and memoranda
  • ability to manage confidential materials appropriately
  • aptitude to understand and carry out complex oral and written direction
  • courtesy and discretion in dealing with others
  • initiative and resourcefulness in the solution of complex problems
  • ambition and creativity 
  • knowledge of computer programs a must. 

This position will begin approximately July 1 and includes a competitive salary with a generous benefits package.
