On Monday, January 10, the Sidney Central School District will begin is Test To Stay (TTS) Program. This program will allow students, teachers, and other school staff the option to test to avoid school exclusion from a COVID-19 exposure.
Attached below is the district's complete and approved plan, which includes a link to New York State's guidance and the Delaware County Health Department Press Release. Below are a few key points:
- The intent of Test To Stay is to ensure schools open for in-person instruction by keeping healthy students, teachers, and staff in school by minimizing quarantines.
- Test to Stay is for those that are 1) asymptomatic 2) unvaccinated and 3) considered a school-based close contact.
- Families/staff have the option to participate in Test To Stay.
