The annual Sidney Central School District budget vote and Board of Education election is from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 in the high school auditorium lobby.
Residents will vote on the 2019-20 proposed budget of $28,030,515, with a tax levy of 0.5 percent and a decrease in the budget of -1.17 percent.
There are three propositions on the ballot, which includes the Sidney Memorial Public Library budget (which is not part of the Sidney CSD budget).
The propositions are as follows:
- The 2019-20 budget
- Capital Project
- Sidney Memorial Public Library budget (as well as one board seat)

Voters will also decide on two Board of Education seats. Kerri G. Green is the lone candidate on the ballot. The second seat, currently held by Kjersti VanSlyke-Briggs, will be determined by write-in ballots.
