For the fourth consecutive year, students representing the Sidney Students Against Destructive Decisions (SSADD) attended the Teen Institute.

The institute is dedicated to providing opportunities for youth to become strong leaders. These youth know what challenges exist in their communities as they are the ones who walk through the hallways and down the streets each day, and they are the ones to create change.

 

Students who attend the Teen Institute become the heart of SSADD.

 

Nineteen students went to the institute as participants, as well as six staff members.

 

Several community organizations and individual sponsors helped the students this opportunity, including: Sidney Central School District, Beta Sigma Phi, Preceptor Beta Kappa Chapter Sidney, Lorraine Keckeisen in memory of Raymond Joseph, Sidney United Way, and Sidney Alumni.
