Sidney CSD update: April 11

The district has been notified that a member of the Sidney Central School District community has tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The staff member has not been on campus since Thursday, April 2. The Department of Health Services is conducting an investigation and will notify anyone who they feel may have had contact with someone who has been exposed. As stated in previous communications, the district began additional deep cleaning of each building before the employee was feeling ill. We ask that you please respect confidentiality laws at this time. 

Please remember to use good hygiene, wash hands thoroughly and often, and stay away from group gatherings. This is an unprecedented time and we will continue to communicate with you regularly regarding pertinent health and educational matters. We will continue deep cleaning and working closely with the Department of Health.
