Students attend Con-Tech Career Day

Several Sidney CSD students recently attended the 2019 Southern Tier Construction and Technology Day in Binghamton.

The fair allows students to not only see what kind of careers could be available in construction and technology, but also gives students the opportunity to be hands on.

“This day is extremely important so students can see what is available for them, should they choose to look more into a trades career,” said Sidney Director of Curriculum/School Improvement Tony Stenta. “They were able to see what jobs were out there, what it paid, and also to experience what kind of responsibilities go along with that career.”

Students had the opportunity to try out numerous fields, including construction, masonry, painting, and operating heavy machinery, to name a few.
