The annual trial for students in Lori DePauw’s Law and Government class recently was held, but with a new twist – a global pandemic.
Students couldn’t all be together in the auditorium, as is usually the case. Instead, using technology, groups were in different areas. Masks were worn when social distancing wasn't able to be met. The prosecution was stationed in the elementary training room, and the jury was seated in the district conference room. The prosecution detailed their case from home. All three were streamed, allowing the trial to be live.
