Sidney competes at Sherburne Pageant of Bands
This past weekend, the Sidney Central School District competed at the 70th annual Sherburne Pageant of Bands.

It’s the 48th year Sidney has competed at the pageant, which is the sixth longest participating school at Sherburne. Sidney competed in the A Division, which represented school from around the state.

Sidney took part in the competitions for the jazz ensemble, small ensemble, concert band, marching band, and color guard.

On Friday, the jazz ensemble and small ensemble each placed second.

On Saturday, the concert band finished fourth, as did the marching band. Following the parade, the drum line took part in the cadence competition. Despite an exciting performance, the group didn’t medal. The color guard also didn’t medal.
