Sidney students compete at robotics event
The Sidney Central School District had several teams compete at the annual SUNY Broome Robotics competition earlier this week.

One of the teams competing earned a championship, as the trio of Noah Artis, Owen Walley (STEM Academy student from Bainbridge-Guilford), and Sam Cole (STEM Academy student from Unatego) earned a first-place finish in Autonomous Task. They also finished third in the Fork Lift challenge.

Two teams – Collin Searles, Dylan Becker, and Nate Carroll; and Bryleigh Beauchat, Hannah Gregory, and Meghan Greco, combined for a fourth-place finish in the Autonomous Line Follow challenge.

Other teams competing were Liam Matthews and Wyatt Kiff, and the three-person team of Anthony Morris, Jonathan McNamara, and Ryan Secor.

More than 100 teams from 15 different school districts competed at the event.
