Voters approve 2019-20 Sidney CSD budget
Voters in the Sidney Central School District on Tuesday, May 21 approved the district’s proposed 2019-20 school budget of $28,030,515.
The budget had a decrease of 1.17 percent, but an estimated tax levy of 0.5 percent. 
 
The final vote was:
Yes: 217
No: 29
 
Voters also elected two to Board of Education seats. Kerri Green retained her seat with 198 votes. Corbin Curley was elected to the other seat as a write-in candidate with 61 votes. 
 
In a second proposition, voters approved a capital project not to exceed $8,500,000. 
 
The final vote on that proposition was:
Yes: 200
No: 45
 
Finally, voters also approved the budget for the Sidney Memorial Public Library, passing it with a count of 224-22. David Dewey was also elected to the board with 223 votes.
