Voters in the Sidney Central School District approved the district’s proposed 2021-22 budget of $27,712,917 by a vote of 116-12.

Incumbent Thomas Hoskins (114 votes) was reelected to the Board of Education, as well as newly elected member Anna Banks (111 votes).

Voters also approved a capital reserve fund by a vote of 114-13.

“Thank you to the Sidney Central School District community for your continued support, especially with how the past year has been,” Sidney Superintendent Eben Bullock said. “Our community support has been outstanding during the pandemic, and we appreciate the level of confidence you continue to show for our district, teachers, and students.”

Finally, voters also approved the budget for the Sidney Memorial Public Library, passing it with a vote of 117-11. Elisabeth Sellen was elected as a trustee with 109 votes.
