Sidney senior Lindsay Frederick will compete in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association indoor track and field championships Saturday. The event is being held at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
Frederick, who won the Section Four shot put championship with a throw of 27 feet, .25 inches, finished fourth in the state last year at outdoor states.
The championships begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. The girls shot put is scheduled for 12:45 p.m.
