
The Sidney varsity golf team won the Midstate Athletic Conference championship tournament for the second straight year after finishing the regular season with an 11-1 overall record and 10-0 in the league.
In league matches, Sidney has won 22 straight.
Sidney won the league championship tournament on Oct. 1 at Chenango Valley State Park.
Trenton Stillman placed third to pace Sidney, shooting an 83 and earning first team all-star honors. Kyle Smith shot a 92, placing sixth to also earn first-team honors.
Justin McMillan finished with a 95, while Trever Dutton and Steven Smith each shot a 98. The three each earned second team all-star honors.
During the regular season, the Warriors qualified for the Class C team sectionals, which will be held this spring at Maple Hill Golf Course in Marathon. Stillman qualified for the individual sectional tournament, which will be held at Cornell University in the spring.
