Sidney’s badminton and table tennis teams recently competed at the Section Four badminton and table tennis championships held at Bainbridge-Guilford.
The Warriors won four championships and placed second in two other events.
Jilleen Livingston, a senior, won her fourth straight championship in badminton, winning the singles title for the second consecutive year. Livingston teamed with Sam Butcher to win the girls doubles title four years ago, followed by winning the mixed division with Nick Meno.
Meno and Trey Larson won the boys doubles championship in table tennis, while Trenton Stillman and Mallery Stillman won the mixed doubles table tennis championship. In girls doubles table tennis, Connor Decker and Jenna McDonald won the crown.
Hailey Adams and Nicole Rayner (girls doubles badminton) and Katie DeShaw (girls singles table tennis) each placed second. Jaesung Park (boys singles table tennis) finished third.
Wyatt McKee and Kyle Smith (boys doubles badminton) and Angel Marquez and Larissa Eccleston (mixed doubles badminton) each had honorable mention finishes.
Following the tournament, the teams received a parade through town, let by the Sidney Fire Department.
