Sidney graduate Brian Knapp is back at his alma mater to lead the transportation department!
Knapp, who graduated from Sidney in 2011, returned to the district in late August to take over as the transportation supervisor. He’s worked as a mechanic in the Unatego and Franklin districts, and served as the transportation supervisor in Franklin before going back to a mechanic position.
He has worked in school transportation since 2016.
Knapp said while coming here definitely was sentimental, he said the opportunity to take more responsibility and be part of his alma mater were big reasons why this position was so attractive.
And having the facilities the district didn’t hurt, either.
“The facilities are mind-blowing and how far they have come,” he said. “I’m excited to be part of Sidney CSD.”
