Each bus driver selects a rider of the year for their bus. Students receive a certificate, a plaque, and a framed photo. They were all honored and celebrated at a luncheon held at the transportation center.
A wonderful accomplishment!

The Sidney Central School District is lucky to have six amazing counselors to help guide our students! Thank you to Jody Gravelin (Jr/Sr high school), Melinda Webster (Jr/Sr high school), Clara Tanner (Jr/Sr high school), Erin Nordenhold (elementary), Meghan Smith (elementary), and Lisa Ruland (elementary) for everything you do for our students and district!
If you see our counselors, makes sure to thank them for all that they do!

SFCU visited as part of the Lil’ Sprout Savings Club. The club is for students in grades 3-6 and helps teach students about financial literacy. Students can open an account with SFCU and can make deposits of $50 or less right at school.
Three of five students who earned this certificate this month were at the PRIDE assembly and were presented with Lil’ Sprout Super Saver certificates! Congratulations!

During the crafting sessions, the high school students were tasked with engaging in conversation with the UPK students to get to know them better, and ultimately to leave with a list of 2-3 favorite things for each UPK student.
High school students then took their lists back to class and created a painting for each of the UPK students based on those lists – and what they shared during the visits. The painting class, which consists of 12 students in grades 10-12, ended up creating 40 paintings (one for each UPK student).
Before break, the painting class returned to the UPK classrooms to deliver their paintings as a small gift before Christmas. UPK students enjoyed the paintings and made cards fr the high schoolers to thank them for the artwork.
What a great job!
