About me:
I teach ESL (English as a Second Language) at Sidney CSD. I came to Sidney from the NYC Public School system, where I taught ESL for 6 years in two alternative schools in Queens, NY. Prior to that, I taught adult education for many years to immigrant communities in and around the Jackson Heights neighborhood in Queens, as well as in Japan. I am a certified English as a Second Language Teacher. I like to teach through gaming, problem (creating and) solving, encouraging students to teach one another, and project-based learning. I am also involved in gardening, gardening education, and farm to school activities. My interests include formal linguistics, puzzles, permaculture, and growing and using edible and medicinal plants. I live in Unadilla NY.
