Voters in the Sidney Central School District approved the district’s proposed 2024-25 budget of $32,071,491 by a vote of 88-23.
Two seats were up for the Board of Education. Incumbents Anna Banks (95 votes), and Thomas Hoskins (91 votes) were reelected.
“Thank you to the Sidney Central School District community for continuing to support our school and students,” Sidney CSD Superintendent Eben Bullock said. “The budget allows us to maintain our programs and we appreciate the confidence voters continually show in our district, teachers, and students.”
Finally, voters also approved the budget for the Sidney Memorial Public Library, passing it with a vote of 95-16. Ann Zieno was elected to the board with 76 votes, beating out Janice Vitek (30 votes). The library budget is mandated by law to be on the ballot, but is not part of the district budget.
