Work for the latest Sidney CSD capital project is underway!
Batting cages have been installed and are in use at the baseball and softball fields. The tennis courts are almost completed and will be available for use soon!
Footers and foundation for one of the two outdoor pavilions has been poured. Work for the amphitheater, which will be created in the hill behind the elementary school, has also started. This improves Sidney’s ability for outdoor learning spaces.
Parking at Alumni Stadium and the sports complex is also expanding, with a new lot going in across the street from the current lot. Work has also started there.
The HVAC upgrades in the elementary school pod are also nearing competition.
We will continue to update the process of the capital project throughout the work.
This work is part of an $8,000,000 capital project that was approved by voters in September 2022. Other parts of the project include the renovation of the fitness center in the Jr/Sr high school, as well a new playground with age-appropriate equipment and turf to allow for year-round use.
