NOTICE: The Sidney Central School District has been notified that a member of the school community has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). This person has not been on campus since Friday, October 16.

The Department of Health Services is conducting an investigation and will notify anybody who they feel may have potentially been exposed. The potential exposure has been minimized in this case because of the emphasis placed on wearing face coverings and social distancing.

As stated in previous communications, the district is working in collaboration with local health departments to make sure all necessary procedures are followed. We ask that you please respect confidentiality laws at this time.

Please remember to use good hygiene, wash hands thoroughly and often, and practice social distancing protocols. This is an unprecedented time, and we will continue to communicate with you regularly regarding pertinent health and educational matters.
