Once again this summer, the Delaware County CDO Workforce offers a summer employment program for Delaware County youth ages 14-20. 

 

With the increase in minimum wage, it is harder than ever for young people to compete with adults for summer employment opportunities.

 

A summer job can help youth earn money for college or their first car, as well as explore fields of interest, and learn valuable life skills. 

 

The Delaware County Department of Social Services, Office of Temporary Disability Assistance, The O’Connor Foundation, and Walton Fairground Board provide funding for the employment program. 

 

Applications are currently available in your local high school guidance office, as well as both the Delhi and Sidney CDO Workforce offices. Completed applications must be received by June 8. There are both income and non-income slots available, but apply today as opportunities are limited.
