Petitions available for school board and library board

Petitions are now available for residents of the Sidney Central School District who wish to be candidates for the Sidney Board of Education or the Library Board. The election for these positions is on May 16, 2017.

Three positions will be open on the Board of Education. The open positions are currently held by Marisa Orezzoli, Amanda Finch and Tammy Schunk. Two positions will be open on the Library Board. The open positions are currently held by David Honsaker and Donna Dean.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, citizens of the United States, and residents of the Sidney Central School District for one year preceding the election.

Petitions are available at the Sidney Central School Curriculum Office. Petitions must be returned to the school’s curriculum office by April 17, 2017. For more information, please contact the District Office at 561-7700, option #2.
